I’ve tested the waters in enough straightforward, predictable career paths to know that the life of adventure that comes with a creative career is more my speed. Turning art into a way to make a living is no small feat, but it's a worthwhile one.

Let me answer the last one right now: No, you're not the only one. I'm right there with you! I've either been there before or am still facing some of these. I'm compiling everything I've learned along the way of this adventure and sharing the expertise I've picked up from the inspiring creators around me, too.

I’m here to remind you your dream matters. No two creators tell the exact same story with their work because no two creators see the world the same way.

That means the world is missing the creative work you have to bring to the table.

I’m a Jesus follower. The truth of the gospel – that I am a sinner saved by grace – colors the way I see everything, even if I'm not explicitly talking about God. I believe my gift of writing is a gift from Him. I share this simply to give you insight into the perspective I am coming from as you read my writing. I’m a Myers Briggs fanatic, and guessing people's types shortly after I meet them is my special talent. I’m an INFJ. What about you? Actually, don't tell me so I can guess.

I’m from the most landlocked part of the country – the Midwest. I will say, we have great hiking and amazing sunsets here, but I take every chance I get to visit the ocean.

Speaking of hiking, spending time in nature is my favorite. I also love biking, preferably with a speaker playing the oldies (or Taylor Swift) in the basket.
